Anti-Personnel (AP) Mine Simulator The Anti-Personnel (AP) Mine Simulator can be programmed to replicate the effects of most common anti-personnel land mines. The AP mine simulator can be ‘detonated’ by a number of external fuse options as fitted to a real mine, by a clacker or by one of the several internal fuses (such as tampering, time delay, movement or a near-by mine simulator ‘detonating’). The AP mine simulator is programmed using an Umpire Control Gun and provides a realistic training in laying, recovery, and fusing options. Upon 'detonation' the AP mine emits a coded radio signal which is received by manworn harnesses. An appropriate outcome such as a "kill" or "near-miss" is recorded by the harness depending on the position of the player in the 'lethal' zone of the AP mine simulator. All exercise data is transferred to the Combat Analysis System software or EXCON for after action review. |
